Mini Coders
Mini Coders is a curriculum specifically designed to cater for younger learners between the ages of 5 -7 years. It is an introduction to computer Programming.
PingLady believes that training of both technical and soft skills is a key aspect of realising its vision to see more successful women entrepreneurs and professionals in the technology industry.
Training allows women to acquire new skills which in turn increases their contribution to their own businesses or the companies that they work for. It also motivates and builds women’s self-esteem, provides the potential for career advancement within and outside the organizations that women work for and ultimately increases the chances of advancing the welfare of women by improved employability, improved potential for career advancement, increased chances for better pay and benefits. etc.

Coding is Computer programming or Software development. Coding is a process of creating a sequence of instructions or commands for a computer that will automate performing a specific task or solving a given problem. It involves locating a problem or a task (like a game), analysing it, designing a framework for the solution, writing the actual code for it, testing your algorithm, and, finally, writing documentation for it.
Coding involves activities such as analysis, developing understanding, generating algorithms, and verification of requirements of algorithms including their correctness, resources consumption, and implementation of algorithms in a target programming language.
Coding also teaches problem solving skills, enhances creativity and ‘out of the box’ thinking and the ability for learners to communicate their thoughts in a structured and logical way.
Research has shown that in a few years, most jobs will be replaced with machines and hence most professions will require basic coding skills.
Research shows that one of the reasons for less women in the technology field is attributed to the lack of exposure to the technology careers. Research has also shown that the earlier learners are introduced to coding, the easier they adapt in one of the fastest growing industries in the world – Technology.
To address this, PingLady has designed a Learn to Code Program that teaches kids from as early as 5 years through to 18 years, the fundamentals of Computer Programming and also nurtures computer-programming skills in children.
When a child learns to code they learn to create. Young People in Africa and beyond have been instrumental in solving problems in their communities and inventing some of the best and life changing technologies in the world!

The course has 4 different curriculums to cater to different levels of growth in learners’ coding skills.
Mini Coders is a curriculum specifically designed to cater for younger learners between the ages of 5 -7 years. It is an introduction to computer Programming.
Beginner’s course is also an introduction to coding or computer programming concepts for all ages. It teaches learners the basic fundamentals of Computer Programming, logical thinking, analysing etc.
Intermediary curriculum is designed for more experienced learners in coding and introduces various coding languages as well as Robotics. Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. Learners in this course can also be participants in the school Coding Club.
Advanced curriculum is a fully-fledged Computer Programming Course for experienced coders in a school environment-allowing learners to interactively work on projects together like they would in an agile corporate environment. This course trains learns to work together towards a common goal and as a result learners learn to thrive in Software development or any other teams. Learners enrolled in this Course will also be the learners running the Coding Club in their School.

PingLady Incubates Innovation in Women though the Learn to Code Programs for adults. These programs are designed for anyone above the age of 18 and equips the learners with the fundamentals of Computer Programming.
An Hour of Code is a programme where participants are engaged in coding activities for the duration of an hour. It is designed to cater for beginners in coding.
Crack the Code is a curriculum designed for more experienced coders. This programme introduces multiple coding languages as well as Robotics.
